The Kansas City of this episode is somewhat correct. I didn’t recognize any of the names, but there is a strip that sort of looks like that. Loss the broken down cars, but leave the dirt. . . .

Enochian actually referes to Enoch, the Biblical first city.

A possibility with Cas, is maybe Anna resurected him, or rather let me say resurected Jimmy, and (with Cas’s knowledge) is completely BSing the other angels. Or maybe, as a human, or some sort of halfbreed, he possesses a lot of info that the angels are scarred of. Remember, many of the angels didn’t like G-d placing them above angels, so maybe if it comes right down to it, angels can not fight humanity, or know the G-d will side with humanity, (it was promised that G-d would never again destroy of all humanity after the flood).

For the Prophet Chuck, I don’t think the angels know what he is going to see and say. To me it makes more sense that they don’t, because they need to have an archangel protect him from all harm. If they already know, or are the ones telling him what to say, it is kind of pointless. I think they are waiting for G-d to reveal the next prophecy just like anyone else. That explaines why the angels need the 24 hour survelance, to make sure the demons do not take control of that resource.

Kind of tired of Dean’s hypocritical BS. He has acted at the very least just as bad as Sam, except for a lot longer, (on screen not to mention the decades off camera. . .) and needs to get over himself.

As for Lucifer not being a lying liar, that never tells an actual lie, there is a belief that G-d and Lucifer are actually not enemies, and Lucifer is forced to appear as the bad guy to show who is tempted to evil. Perhaps this is were this season is going with Lucifer? Maybe he really isn’t “the Big Bad”. it is mostly a gnostic heresy but a few different groups think this is true.

Just for the record, I think it would be bad assicle if Sam, Dean (granted he can get his head out of his ______), Castiel, Lucifer, Anna, and Bobby teamed up to fight off all the angels, . . . and the demons as a 3rd side in the apocalypse.

Happy to see Jo is going to be back, sometimes. I liked her and felt it was pretty crappy to just drop her because of the eay she looked with Dean.

Not really a big fan of spoilers, either, but it looks like Ep 4 will have a zombie apocalypse. . .

I just wanted to say a quick hello, or Bonjour in French (since I’m French) and let you know how much I enjoy listening to your podcast. Also, I want to add that I never, ever leave comments (I’m more of a lurker - in a good way, not the creepy way), so yes, I never post comments unless I am extremely impressed with the quality of the show. Well, you did it! You girls rock! Compared to many other poorly designed podcasts I listen too (and no, I won’t give names) you’re by far the best. I can really tell that you spend the time to put together a very entertaining, funny, sometimes weird (but again in a good way) show. Okay, enough with the praise and on to what’s not quite working… Kidding! Just keep doing what you’re doing and nobody will get hurt, okay. Oh, and since Castiel is my fav character on the show right now, be sure that you’ll hear from me again to comment on this week’s ep: The Rapture. Can’t wait for that one.

First off, I LOVED the new companion! She was so different from the others we’ve seen. Smart, sexy, a quick wit, and major kick-butt, she was really Lara Croft-esque. Too bad she was only around for this episode.

What is it with Davies and bad things happening on a bus? First it was Midnight, and the whole shadow entity onboard the Crusader Tour bus, and now these poor people on the 200! Does he have a secret phobia or something?

Next, the, uh, fly-alien-things. Way to go writers! I honestly thought they were the baddies of the ep, only to find out they were really victims! The Doctor made me LOL so hard with his comment that they feed on things “others leave behind from their, well, behinds” and Christina’s “Just remind me never to kiss them” had me in tears! And, even after having been tricked into thinking they were the bad guys, it was heartbreaking to see them die so the Doctor could escape. RIP, guys.

Now, the actual “villains” were a sweet bit of special effects. Yet another example of a monster that’s not really a monster. As the Doctor says, that was just their natural lifecycle. (Great, now I’m seeing Supernatural in my Doctor Who-I REALLY need a new episode!) Still, the idea for the species was really unique.

Have to say, I absolutely loved the ending, even if Christina didn’t go with the Doctor! And the psychic lady’s (is it alright if I call her Missouri? That’s who she reminded me of, lol.) warning was a little disturbing. I’ve heard rumors on the net that it might be a sign that the Master is coming back. I almost hope the rumors are wrong though. I mean, I loved the Master, but the Doc really needs some new uber-baddies to deal with.

Well, I think I’ve ranted and rambled enough for one comment. Hope you two have a great week, and I can’t wait for the podcast!

That said, I thought I’d throw in a few comments about the last episode, The Monster at the End of the Book. Wow, what a treat! It’s not often that a show has a tribute to its fanbase like that! I loved the mention of the Sam and Dean girls (though, I do wonder where the guy fans like me fit in. Maybe we could be Impala! fans?) And the poor brothers, getting grossed out by the slash fans. Not that I blame them. I’m an older brother, so that kind of thing just…ewwwww. Still, it made for a great bit of comedy.

The other thing I found..strange, I guess, was the way that Dean let Lillith escape. Seriously, he needs to stop taking lessons from the Doctor! (That is, the Doctor’s tendency to give everyone a “last chance”) When you’re facing an enemy that wants to free LUCIFER, you don’t give her a chance to escape! You get rid of her, quick!

Sorry for rambling on. (In fact, I’m nor even sure that what I wrote made sense. That happens when you write things while you’re half asleep, lol.) Great job on the podcasts, can’t wait for the next one!

Regarding the publisher’s name, though it is never explicitly mentioned in the episode, the publisher’s name is Sera Siege. As in Sera Gamble and Julie Siege. Julie wrote the episode. They probably had to cut the scene where Sam and Dean identify her.

Sera mentioned it in an interview she did with tvguide.com in January. Also, it appeared in some previews and spoiler posts.

Thank You for the kind words about my fanfiction. Don’t ask me where that came from cause I have no idea lol. I swear sometimes I think I write like the procogs in Heroes, my eyes turn white and once I come to I look at what I’ve done and am amazed (and sometimes scared lol but in a good way).

Oh btw, I like Bones too. lol how cute are Booth and Brennan, and I love Hodgins and Sweets lol. Now I agree Heroes is going downhill this season, unlike SPN which is skyrocketing.

Am I hoping and praying we get a season 5, I am not ready to say goodbye to the brothers Winchester yet and refuse to do so without preparing myself for it. Watching the final season is going to be so hard, knowing that the countdown is on and our time with the boys is limited… Kripke, can we have a movie?? If you need financing try making a deal with the devil himself, I hear he’s a fan lol

I know you girls are super busy and I send you a HEAP of stuff to talk about and although your glad to get it it makes me want to ban myself from my keyboard sometimes LOL.

i’m more intrigued by the yellow eye flashes in this ep. i know the writers research a LOT, and then take what they want to make a great story, but i really hope they don’t make Sam turn into a YED. simply for the fact that in the biblical literature i’ve researched for my own graphic novel, Azazel is a Grigori (a seraphim who fell for having sex with mortal women). granted, most of my knowledge of Azazel is taken from the Book of Enoch, and a quick Wiki of his name brings up some more aspects of the name, what it means, how through history it had been mistakenly interchangeable with a different name … i guess it could just be my own biased making the idea of Sammy turning into a YED extremely unappealing. my guess is that, obviously Dean doesn’t have that detailed of an understanding to demons and angels and the like, and he has a great fear of Sam going Dark Side. therefore, he equates the evil that Sam has the potential to become with Azazel, yellow eyes and all. it doesn’t necessarily mean that Sam will become what Azazel was. again, that could just be my biased showing.

either way, i have great faith that the writers know exactly what they’re doing and it’s going to be awesome no matter what.

oh, and thanks for checking out the drawing and for saying it looked okay. i’m not good at drawing realistic looking people, or getting someone’s likeness for that matter, but i think that one came out okay.

“Yellow Fever” = totally my fav ep of SPN as a whole. oh, dude, there were so many golden moments in this one. so worth the pain laughing causes me right now (been pretty sickly for about 4 weeks now); especially the special clip at the end, which killed my brother and i. the Lilith exchange, about Dean remembering exactly what happened to him in Hell, when Sam went yellow-eyed (and at the end?! holy crap, WTF was that about?!), and Dean’s breakdown about what they do for a living were great. the screaming like a girl was a fantastic bit. the whole thing was fantastic. can’t wait to hear what you two thought!

well, i thought this ep felt very out of place. it felt like it should have happened before “In the Beginning” and “Metamorphasis”. Sam and Dean were just too nice to each other for having just come off the revelations of those eps. the message of “Are you a monster because of what you are or what you do” came up again in this episode; made it feel a little heavy handed to me.

even though there were some funny parts (Dean convinced that he had been revirginized was hi-larious and made my whole family laugh), this ep was really kind of boring for me. i guess you can’t keep that high tension all the time or it’d just wear people out on the story! it did remind me of the good ole X-Files days. come to think of it, the pacing did feel like an old Universal Monster movie. but what’s with the characters being really close to the edge of the picture plane or halfway in/halfway out of the picture plane? i noticed it in this ep and the last one, in particular. it’s mostly Sam or Dean shot this way. did anyone else notice this? and does it mean anything besides the fact that Art School taught me about the picture plane? hmm.

one thing that bugged me about “Metamorphasis” was the Dean/Ruby exchange. i’m confused as to why she would be willing to go toe-to-toe with Dean when just the confirmation of him being brought back by angels was enough for her to want to cut bait and ditch Sam. why the change in attitude? surely tangoing with the guy who has angel connections is more dangerous than sneaking around with the potentially Dark Side brother? i don’t know. i do know that i’m not liking Ruby this season. i definitely don’t think she’s trying to help Sam stay on the good side. she’s got some sneaky ulterior(sp?) motives, for sure. also, the actress doesn’t really fit the character for me.

i’m babbling a lot longer than i thought i would, so i’ll end by saying there are two things i look forward to each week: Supernatural and The EMF Podcast. you two are fantastic, and i can’t say it enough. dudes, keep up the great work! oh, and i finished the Castiel portrait, if you’re interested in seeing it (it’ll be on my blog later this evening = http://to-paraphrase.com). i think i’m going to do fanart for the whole show now. it’s not like the show is lacking in hot guys to draw.

Hilarious how Kristi mentioned Charlie being Max’s father when my Mom made the SAME comment after this episode…seriously. I know what they mean though, Charlie reminded me of Max in a strange way. I love how you bring up that Daddy dearest follows with no questions ask…since that is something I’ve always said about Dean. Sam says they need to go save Mr Miller…they go. Sam says they need to go to their old home. They go. It’s so good to see where Sammy’s puppy dog qualities came from…least he got it honest. :D Actually Dean is 4 years older than Sam…OH GOSH I AM OCD! –whacks forehead- I don’t think Castiel meant there were no choices…the show would suck if that was the case. I think he meant the past couldn’t be changed.

anyhow, i’m am so with you on all the points/opinions you both have casted about up to this episode (i have to dl the newest cast still). right down to the use of “You Shook Me All Night Long” feeling way inappropriate for the season opener (i would have liked “If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It)” myself (; ). i kind of didn’t like the “angel” wings effect in the 1st ep, but my absolute LOVE for Castiel just, well, i don’t think i could ever not like anything that has to do with this character. so much so that i’m actually doing fanart of him (and i’m not great with the portraiture).

back to the show, i was surprised that they brought in the angel(s) so fast! i wasn’t expecting them to start showing up until a little later on, nor the answer to how Dean got out of Hell. should be interesting to see if anymore show up.

so, i didn’t really have anything constructive to say except that it’s good to have you two back.
