The EMF Podcast–Time Is On My Side
Time is ticking away until Dean’s fate is set, but Sam seems to have alternate ideas up his sleeve about how to keep Dean going and going and going…It’s too bad Bela couldn’t have asked for a few ideas for herself–OH wait, no it’s not!

This was an excellent episode! It made me jump in a couple of places (which I don’t normally do) and had just enough gore to make me squirm in my seat. Keep up the good work girls!!!!

you guys didn’t think Bela was a little redeemed? i got the impression that the guy walking into teen!Bela’s room while she was crying was her dad. and that he was inappropriate with her. and that’s why she made the deal.
or i could just totally be watching too much Law & Order in my days of unemployment.
i did like that Dean didn’t kill her, and gave her that line about if she had come to them earlier that you both mentioned. i thought she went out good, but they keep getting rid of the female characters! lol some of them need to stick around to kick ass!

I actually must agree with Summer (I was coming on to make that comment when I saw she already had) It seemed to me that Bela was raped by her father. The scene at the beginning with him walking into her room and her crying. Also, comments she made in Red Sky at Morning seem to aim that way as well. “You wouldn’t understand…nobody did” Why would she say that if she killed them for money? The conversation between her and baby crossroad’s also made me think this assumption is correct. Bela seemed heartsick and the demon seemed to be offering her an escape. Maybe Bela was a little Max Miller? hmm. Another thing that points that way is her comment in Jus In Bello. “You know nothing about me” another comment that just doesn’t fit the mold if she were a heartless itch bay to the core. She’s been kind of messed up all along, but she’s had redeeming moments. I find it hard to believe that at her core she is nothing but a murderer. She even seemed a bit remorseful when she went to kill Sam…not enough to stop her, but still…

a second comment. I couldn’t resist. I LOVED Sam teasing Dean while he was eating…first off Sam that is just nasty, and second it’s adorable to see Dean grossing out. We didn’t get many playful brother moments this season (the other one of note would be in Sin City with Bobby fixing the colt) so it was not only fun, but sooo needed. Great job writers!
Now about Rufus, and this REALLY bothered me. He was very helpful and buckets of sunshine, and don’t we love our kooky guest stars? But I must say Dean really did take his good ol’ time pulling out the bottle. I mean that scene was unnecessarily long and a wee bit predictable. What is his answer to this question gonna be? “So?” ohmigosh I’m so shocked -sarcasm ends- Also, why did he call Bela girl? This just annoyed me to no end. He called her “skinny, stuck up girl” So his insults were going strong and…died before they hit the finish line. What a way to fizzle Rufus. I mean anything would have been better than girl.Skinny stuck up itch bay. Skinny Stuck up british Hussy. ANYTHING. I mean he wasn’t the most pleasant of people to begin with…seems like he would know his way around slander. My favorite part of Supernatural is when Sam is hurt and Dean is protective. Always has been. I was more than a little disappointed that we didn’t get to see Dean rescue Sam off the table. I mean come on! We haven’t had any protective Dean this season except a handful of times! -whines- Shorten some of the unnessesary Rufus scene (which was impossibly looong) and show us some brotherly love…come on…you know you want too.
Anyway thanks for another fantastic podcast!
