The EMF Podcast - Simon Said

Hello fellow hunters! This week, the EMF podcast discusses the episode Simon Said. We’ve jumped ahead a bit in the 2nd season lineup, but if you listened to last week’s show, you know that we’re working off of recorded TV. Beggers can’t be choosers (not that anyone was begging!) Anywho, fun loving Andy joins us, Sam gets uncontrollable visions with sinks in them and, Dean loses the Impala to mind control!

  1. oh gosh great podcast again…you gals wow me. haha. This podcast honestly helps me get through the boring jobs I have to do -sighs– Anyway, I must make a comment here. You mention Sam’s lack of expression in the bus scene…which is easily explained by Jared himself. He just broke his arm, and the drugs were so strong he was floating through the whole filming of Simon Said. I was just impressed with how well he DID act. Brovo Jared, brovo. oooh you had the same conclusion about Dean defending Andy that I did -high fives- I think Sam told Ellen everything, because in a way he looks at her as a mother figure–which seems mutual as she does mother him a lot, even as she glares at Dean haha. Sam has a deep need for people and connections, clearly shown when he keeps in contact with his college friends for months after leaving. And he seems to need to trust people. Thats just my opinion. So you again mention Sams lack of power. Heres my theory. Ava seems to say–in All Hell breaks loose–that you have to let yourself go to the darkness for your powers to increase. She decides to kill to escape, her powers grow. Max wants revenge. Webber is obsessed with thoughts of his twin so he is stronger than Andy who generally had a good heart. I mean this psychic abilities seem linked to the demon right? But there is something that bothers me, the episode Salvation seems to imply that it wasn’t the demon that gave them the psychic powers. Monica says that looking at Rose it seems like sometimes she reads your mind. This interestingly implies that maybe thier abilities have been around a lot longer than any of them realized, and that they don’t entirely have to do with the demon’s blood. Just a little food for thought, I’m curious to hear what you have to think though. Please let me know if you get the time.
